So I was sitting here contemplating whether to share this story with you or not.
I had a law of attraction event and it was too cool to not share my story.
I wasn’t sure about the reaction to one part of it though. So I hesitated, but nonetheless, it’s a really cool story and well, for me, I couldn’t make this stuff up, even if I tried.
Let me begin by saying, I don’t normally take pictures period, especially of random people I don’t know. LOL.
Last weekend, I was at a very close friend of mines bachelorette party and it was a lot of fun.
That’s not the freaky part.
I’m going to backtrack here and tell you something I did about 2 years ago first.
I was at a basketball game with a close friend of mine (The Toronto Raptors in which they won, goo Raptors
and a different friend then the one who is getting married) and we were sitting quite close to the court.
I was enjoying the game when one of the security gaurds there caught my eye. I was immediately distracted from the game and I just had to take a picture of him. Not really sure why, just felt the need to do so. Maybe so I could write about it today…haha.
Again, I don’t ever do that, and my friend was even looking at me weird because that was totally out of character. I was a bit more shy back then and tried to just blend in and not be seen. He didn’t see me at all over the thousands of people in the crowd, but I saw him.
Anyways, I looked at that picture maybe once, and stuck it into my computers memory along with the others without even giving it a second thought. I thought to myself, ‘wow, he looks pretty nice, I wonder what he’s like’ and that was it.
Fast forward to last weekend.
We took my friend out after teasing her the whole night with silly games for her to complete and headed downtown for the Nuit Blanche event in Toronto.
It was a lot of fun. We ended up somewhere (i’m kind of bad with directions) and I’m not really sure exactly what street or bar it was but we stepped in for a toast.
My friend and I were at the bar ordering some drinks when this guy started talking to me. We started talking and ended up having a good conversation.
We asked each other some questions, typical where do you live, what do you do, blah blah blah, and he mentioned he worked at the Air Canada Center.
Now remember, I took this picture of a guy almost 2 whole years ago and for whatever reason, that came into my head. I had absolutely no recognition of him whatsoever. But that image of me taking the picture at the Raptors game popped into my head. It could have been any of the workers there, and trust me, there are a lot.
I asked him if he did security at the Center and he said less then 2 years ago he was doing security but is doing something different now.
My mind is racing at this point trying to remember if his was the picture I took at the game. It was such a long time ago.
Regardless, my party and his group of friends ended up chatting together. We made the bride to be do some silly games with his friends and it was all good. It actually turned out that the guy, lets call him Joe, (don’t ask me why, but i’m going to call him Joe) knew one of the friends that was in my party. Small world.
Well, the night finally ended, it was a lot of fun, and i went home exhausted from a full days activities.
I checked my pictures the next day (I just had to know if it was the same person) and it turned out that it was. Joe was my picture boy and then we met. Crazy. I thought that was kind of cool.
Just a quick side note, I don’t believe in coincidences anymore. I believe now (especially after reading The spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire by Deepak Chopra) that everything happens to us because we wanted it to happen to us regardless of the situation being good or bad. Everything is always relative anyways.
I have to remind myself that my present decisions will affect my life sooner or later, so isn’t it always better to have good thoughts continuously, rather then bad ones regardless of the situation.
That doesn’t come overnight though. It takes a lot of discipline and practice. Heck i’m not perfect but at least i’m aware of my thoughts and take action changing it right away rather then letting the issue dwell in my head until it’s in there like getting gum stuck in your hair. Very hard to get out.
I wish my brain were like an etch a sketch sometimes. I’d shake a little and erase the negative out each time.
So anyways, the Law of attraction seems to work more if I take pictures of things I really really want and feel the feelings I’d feel when It happens.
In case I left you hanging, nothing really happened after that, but I figure if anything, I could ask my friend to contact Joe and maybe we could go out sometime. LOL, not really sure, i’m having too much fun as it is right now learning new things, and opening a new business in like 4 days.
Lots to do, yet I still have time to write this post.
Thought i’d share.
Things like this have really increased in the last year and I know it’s due to my awareness presented to me from being in the Million Mind March. All about controlling your thoughts and seeing things happen. It’s awesome.
