It’s been raining a lot here.

Thunder and Lightning…you name it, we even got some hail a week or so ago.

There are some pics in another posting with hail.

But I wanted to ask you if you’ve ever looked up in the evening and seen rain pouring down underneath a lamp post?

It’s the coolest thing.

You look at it first and it doesn’t seem like much.

But then, you actually can see each and every droplet of water coming down with the light hitting it almost as if time was standing still.

You see, I am a yoga instructor and my students ask me all the time about meditation.

I have books on end about the topic, but my best advice would be to start looking at the rain and just staring at it under a light.

If it’s not raining, step under your shower with the water running down on you and look down at the water hitting the floor.

It will feel like your looking at just water at first..which you are, but after a while, you’ll see that your intention will be focused on a stream of water maybe dripping off your forehead or something.

It’s really quite soothing and relaxing.

I was doing that today and I realized again how amazing it is, because not only does it calm your nerves, but it sends tingles down your soul.

Wisdom also comes as a biproduct.

Today I looked at that and realized that those droplets of water represented the massive amount of people out there.

It can get so overwhelming because at first all you want to do is see everything (all the people).  But the longer you stare at it, the easier it becomes to focus and you see where that little stream of water (the person you focus on) wants to go.  Sometimes you can even stick your hand out and guide that stream of water.

It’s pretty cool.  Learn a lot just from focusing on it.  Slowing things down a little.

Start to feel right.

Feel whats feeling good and follow instinct.

Remember to take some time for internal relection for guidance.

Take those showers to a whole new experience. :)

Stop for a second and get lost in it all.
